The Peregrine Falcon
I have always liked falcons. I think their speed, marksmanship, and strength are unmatched. I have particularly admired Peregrines for their speed and hunting skills but was not sure about their origin and habitat. It wasn’t until I researched these incredible hunters that I discovered they could be found anywhere in the world.
The Peregrine is the world’s most widespread bird of prey. The
name of the species means “wandering falcon.”
Through my research on this distinctive bird in books, I discovered that it has features that make it one of the most distinguished birds, if not the most distinguished, as the peregrine falcon has the ability to hunt small mammals such as deer as well as reptiles, and its insane speed reaches 389 kilometers per hour.
Its length also reaches from 34 cm to 50 cm. The peregrine falcon
is characterized by its sharp eyesight, as it can see 23 km.
In the past, the Arabs used to hunt with falcons, especially the
peregrine falcon, and the Arabs took the falcon as a sign for them because it
symbolizes strength.
Currently, we are trying to preserve this creature to prevent extinction, so contribute to preserving it and not hunting it.

During my freshman year of college, I stayed on campus for the holidays as I came from a different country. With a few other students, we decided to whip up our own holiday dinner by getting ingredients from local markets and grocery stores.
We had a warm atmosphere in the kitchen as we cooked and shared stories about our families and traditions. We made a Middle Eastern dish called Chicken Mandy with Rice, which was delicious and unforgettable.
As we ate, we continued to enjoy each other's company and the warmth of the holiday season. It was a simple meal but a memorable moment of my college years.
