A Coming-of-Age Film

A Coming-of-Age Film

The Lion King is a coming-of-age film. Coming-of-age films focus on a young person’s journey to adulthood, often both emotionally and physically. In these kinds of films there is usually a role model who helps teach the main character, and there is usually a test that the character must undergo. The Lion King is a good example of this kind of film because it shows you how to step up and take responsibility.
The film starts with the beginning when Simba was just born. As for the son of a king, it is typical for him to love adventure and showing others that he is brave, but instead he gets in trouble and wait for his father to come and save the day.
When his uncle set a plan to kill his father to take the throne, he told Simba that it was his fault and he should just run away and never come back blaming him about his father’s death. He then met Timon and Pumbaa and decided to live with them, trying to forget his past and not taking any responsibilities.
A couple of years later he found his best friend, she wanted him to come back and take his place, but he refused. When the monkey- Simba’s father friend- knew he was still alive he taught him that he should learn from his past and not run away from it. Simba then decided to take back his kingdom and defeated his uncle.

                                             Education in 2030

By 2030, I think education as we know it will have changed dramatically. The idea of going to a school every day to learn will be a thing of the past. When I have children, I think they will be educated at home with a computer, schools as we know them will no longer exist . In their place will be community-style centers operating seven days a week, 24 hours a day." Computers will become an essential ingredient in the recipe for an effective school of the future.  Students will see and hear teachers on computers, with "remote learning". Accessing "classrooms" on their home computers, students will learn at times most convenient for them. Yet some attendance at an actual school will be required to help students develop appropriate social skills.

This will be very promising to my children .From the first day at school, my children will take laptop instead of paper books I won't be worry about taking them to school or returning them from it. I think they will have chosen their subjects which they want to learn. They will have sent their homework's through email. teachers and students will have exchanged their works and experience electronically. This will have affect either on student and society. I think that children will specialized from the first year of the aspect which he is going to be in the future. So, he can feed himself early.

This way of education will change the society to better , I think. There will be no traffic jams in the morning, less electricity to operate schools, effective teaching and learning, but at the same time the job of a teacher will disappear .

To sum up, it is difficult to say what is the most important

When we talk about the most important invention ever,
it is important to explain what we mean. As far as I
am concerned, this means the invention that has most
changed the life of all humanity. Almost everyone would
say that the computer is a very important invention. But
is it the most important invention ever?
Firstly, when we talk about computers, we can say that
a very important invention in the history of computers
was the ‘personal computer’. People can now use their
computer for work and pleasure any time, anywhere and
for almost anything. What’s more, computers used in
medicine can save lives and help people live longer and
happier lives. In addition to computers, we can talk about
the World Wide Web. Because of this anyone can access
information from anywhere in the world. This revolution
in sharing information has changed the world dramatically.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to apply for the Combined English Scholarship.
I believe that I would be the perfect candidate for this
scholarship. My chosen subject is journalism and English
has always been one of my favourite subjects. I would love
to study at a university in the UK or the US one day.
My academic marks have been excellent this year in all
subjects. I am also a member of a reading club. I enjoy all
types of team sports and play hockey for the school team.
I would be very grateful to receive the chance to study
on the Combined English Scholarship programme and
am sure that I would take advantage of this fantastic
opportunity.
I look forward to receiving your reply.
